Bio

Founded in 2023, Matoka Quartet consists of four Brussels-based musicians with a shared passion for deep grooves. The group collaboratively develops compositions by both Yarno and Elly, allowing each member to contribute their unique influence to the music: Yarno's african patterns, Elly's delicate melodies, Emanuel's lyricism, and Umberto's grounding pulse come together to create an original musical form. The listener is taken on a journey through a synthesis of rhythm, melodic layering, and impressionistic interplay.
